Tuck Lye Koh is a Founding Partner and CEO of Shunwei Capital Partners that manages Shunwei China Internet Fund, a newly established China-focused venture capital fund.
Prior to founding Shunwei, Mr. Koh was a Managing Director at C.V. Starr Investment Advisors (Asia) Limited and led itsBeijing’s private equity investment activities. While at C.V. Starr, he was also an Investment Committee member of a US$130mn China-focused private equity fund, and Review Committee member of two prominent private equity funds inChina, with multi-billion assets under management.
Mr. Koh has more than 10 years private equity experience and has invested across a broad spectrum in his career, including technology, manufacturing, logistics, consumer products, financial services and funds. These included Kingsoft Corporation (HKSE: 3888.HK), a prominent Chinese software company in which Mr. Koh was a director and chaired the remuneration committee, Xingda International (HKSE: 1899.HK), New Times Transportation (acquired in 2011) and Xiaomi Corporation.
Prior to joining C.V. Starr in 2008, Mr. Koh held various positions with GIC Special Investments, AIG Global Investment Corporation, and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Koh is a graduate of Stanford University and the National University of Singapore, and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
