Adoption of Cloud Computing by the Enterprise

Cloud computing has moved to the stage of gradual adoption by enterprises. Singapore is putting in place a conducive environment for cloud computing adoption, with the government taking the lead to build a cloud ecosystem at the national level.

 

The Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore launched the multi-data Open Cirrus Cloud Computing Testbed with Yahoo, HP and Intel in Jul 2008 to provide a globally distributed environment for research on software, data centre management and hardware issues associated with cloud computing.
