Mobile services welcome in Singapore’s Digital Concierge
The Singapore Infocomm Development Authority is creating a next wave of mobile services, by building a robust and open mobile ecosystem to facilitate parties that provide the necessary technology components and commercial relationships to help mobile service providers work with back-end providers.
IDA hopes to promote a wider range and more personalized services to attract consumers, as well as businesses, commencing with retail and F&B sectors in rolling out their mobile services trek. Payment and ticket fulfillment components that can help ease the challenges and high costs of mobile commerce implementations are much welcome.
Based on innovative mobile technologies, the ecosystem provides an excellent opportunity for ICT start-ups to participate in projects in four areas: shared business directory service; mobile sites and mobile content platform; mobile enablers with transactional services; and innovative mobile services, through the development and deployment of their solutions via this ecosystem.
