Singapore amongst the world’s most tech-friendly countries

According to a study by ITIF in 2009, Singapore was amongst the top in the list of the world’s most tech-friendly countries based on competiveness data including venture capital, corporate R&D investments, and tax rates.  It as also one of the countries that showed the biggest improvements over the decade.

Broadband is one key infrastructure that countries need to be equipped to stay competitive. Part of Singapore’s ongoing efforts to develop a good communications infrastructure includes connecting all homes and offices with a next-generation nationwide broadband network by 2012.
