Singapore top in Asia for quality of life

Singapore retains its place as the highest-ranking Asian city for quality of life, followed by Tokyo, Kobe and Yokohama in Japan, according to a 2010 survey by Mercer. Singapore takes the 28th position in global rankings.
According to the survey, Vienna, Zurich, Geneva, Vancouver and Auckland came in as the top five urban living destinations in the world.
Paris is at 34, London at 39, Tokyo 40, Madrid 48 and New York at 49.
The list, aimed at government or multinational human resources departments, focused its ranking on on stability, safety and public services.
