The Singapore government plans to invest S$1.1 billion on new information communication (infocomm) tenders in the current financial year that began in April 2010.
350 new projects are up for tender. They include the re-development of the eCitizen portal to include new features and tenders to be called by Singaopore government agencies such as the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Defence.
More than half of the contracts are for smaller-sized projects valued under S$500,000, providing opportunities for small and medium enterprises to take part in the tender process.
