Companies can apply for an Employment Pass (EP) for the employment of foreign professionals and executives in Singapore.

Apart from possessing recognised qualifications, the salary of the employed professional has to be above S$2,500 to qualify for the Employment Pass.

There are three categories of Employment Pass, namely P1, P2 and Q1 Pass as follows:

• P1 Pass – for applicants earning a fixed monthly salary above S$7,000.
• P2 Pass – for applicants with recognised qualifications and earning a fixed monthly salary of above S$3,500 and up to S$7,000.
• Q1 Pass – for applicants with recognised qualifiactions and earning a fixed monthly salary of above S$2,500.
