Events bring together people from varied backgrounds with common interest under one roof. From large-scale ones to grassroots-run events, there is something for everybody. Some of the popular events that are hosted in Singapore are:
Large Scale Events
Echelon: Run by technology media organization e27, Echelon is a yearly startup conference that attracts entrepreneurs, investors, industry executives from all around the world. It’s also one of the largest startup-launchpad events.
Accelerate: Organized by SingTel, Accelerate is a conference tailored for experts and practitioners of mobile and web apps in Asia.
ad:tech Singapore: ad:tech is an interactive advertising and technology conference and exhibition. Worldwide shows blend keynote speakers, topic driven panels and workshops.
CommunicAsia: Asia’a largest ICT exhibition, where key executives from the industry congregate.
Community-driven Events
RedDotRubyConf: Southeast Asia’s only ruby and rails conference. It brings together rubyists from all over this part of the world to talk, learn and discuss Ruby & Rails.
PyCon Asia Pacific: PyCon Asia Pacific represents a conference dedicated to the Python programming language.
GeekCamp Singapore: GeekCamp is an international network of technology-only conferences, where the participants generate the content. Based on the open-enquiry philosophy of BarCamp, GeekCamps seek to address the perceived culture clash of BarCamp, by limiting discussion to purely technical matters.
Barcamp Singapore: An international network of user-generated conferences. They are open, participatory workshop-events, the content of which is provided by participants
SuperHappyDevHouse Singapore: SHDH is an all day and all night hackfest and party that combines serious and not-so-serious productivity with a fun and exciting party atmosphere. There’s beer, food, fun projects and lightning talks.
